Explain the usage and the structure of the past progressive tense: Was/were + v.-ing Show the pictures of doing the homework, reading, going to work, waiting for the bus and shopping. Step 3 Presentation Show a picture about rainstorm and talk about it with students. T: What was the weather like? then ask and answer questions students to do other actions, then have some pairs ask and answer. Have students work in pairs , let them ask and answers let them ask and answers. Have students read the instruction in 1a and match the statements with the people in the picture.
